"What we loved about this project was the strong alignment between the architect, partner, end client and ourselves. It was satisfying to see how the end result exactly matched the concept we had in mind." Delphine Hoedt, Lighting Designer
Optiek Oculi, Bree (BE)
This distinctive eyewear boutique merges quirky character with high-end design — and the lighting had to match. Lighting designer Delphine and account manager Glenn joined forces with Q-Light and architectural firm LINT to bring a bold lighting concept to life. The result? An immersive experience that plays with contrast, rhythm and personality to elevate every detail of the interior.
Five electricity points, one high-end boutique
The store space welcomed us with a technical challenge. There were five electricity points available on one electrical circuit only. This required us to think outside the box and come up with a solution that provided sufficient lighting while ensuring the space stood out as a high-end boutique.
Added value with Pista Track 48V
The Pista Track 48V presents a compelling line play in the space. By placing two tracks side by side, we were able to create a more dynamic and exciting lighting design. We addressed the height difference in the ceiling by using a surface-mounted track on one side and a suspended track on the other, which created an elegant and cohesive look. In the end, we only needed two electricity points to light everything in a beautiful way, from the display window to the work tables at the back.

A wink with Marbulito
Marbulito produces a well-defined circle of light, making it ideal for highlighting objects. This contrasts nicely with the general lighting and ads an element of drama and sophistication.

A powerful accent with Medard
Medard was chosen as an orientable accent light to highlight products and side walls. Its reflector technology produces a wide beam of light and a powerful lumen output with a nice light effect.

Subtle general light with Linear Spots
The Linear Spots on the tracks completed the lighting plan and provided the necessary general lighting to ensure that the shop is properly illuminated with their subtle presence.
“Lighting design is about thinking along with the concept and making sure that people feel something when they walk in.” Glenn Es, Key Account Manager
Architectural details matter
Our lighting experts always pay attention to details. They want to match our lighting by extending architectural shapes and lines. Glenn: "In this project, the steel construction above the counter catches the eye. Our Pista Track 48V takes over this play of lines in a creative way. Light is created everywhere it is needed, but the end result does not feel overloaded at all."
"The lighting proposed by Modular proved to be a great asset, as it was both technically feasible and an elegant solution to the space limitations." Greg Delien, Q-Light, Partner
