Designer Frederik Delbart found inspiration in the medieval times, where coats of arms adorned the walls of grand halls. He wanted to pair history with modern light technology and create an object that would outlast him. "I pay homage to the craftsmanship of that time. Two sides of light
The refined craftsmanship of Chival is expressed through its precise up-and-down lighting, with light beams that naturally follow the luminaire's vertical form.
A carefully positioned Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens creates clean, controlled beams that emphasise architectural surfaces while maintaining visual comfort.
Chival was also the first Modular wall luminaire to feature warm dim technology, allowing the light to become warmer as it is dimmed, creating a more intimate atmosphere.

Shields of shades
Create your lighting plan with the sophistication of matching brushed anodised colours, a subtle grey white or the luxurious feel of black chrome. The black chrome will give its own, unique effects by reflecting its surroundings. Chival's two sides will show the rich finish on one side, and absorb the space on the other.
