For our HQ in Roeselare we are looking for a Product Development Engineer to expand our R&D team:

 

What you'll do

  • You are responsible for the development of new luminaire designs.
  • You follow the progress of the development of your products closely. You continuously adjust where necessary to assure a quick and efficient development process.
  • During the development process you take into account the different internal and external manufacturing processes, quality requirements and the expectations of the customers, the product management team and the marketing department.
  • You spend maximum 20% of your time on product development of customer specific projects.
  • You coordinate and guide the testing procedures that are necessary for the development of the products. Installation-friendly, aesthetically perfect, technically advanced, energy-efficient, sustainable, flexible and modular highly qualitative design are embedded in you daily work.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you understand what it takes to make a high-end brand better every single day. Therefore, you should bring:

 

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in (Electro)Mechanics or Product Design or you have equivalent experience.
  • Interest in technology is a must, experience in lighting is an advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of CAD software, preferable Siemens NX.
  • Interest for and knowledge of 3D visualizations and rendering software.
  • Knowledge of BIM within lighting industry is an advantage.
  • You have an eye for continuous improvement and an analytical mindset.
  • You are flexible and enjoy working in a team.
  • You have knowledge of industrial product development processes and are familiar with material manufacturing processes for plastics, metals and alloys, wood or glass.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
