Flexibility and versatility in one elegant design.
The quirky long legs of the praying mantis inspired the Dutch Basten Leijh Design Studio for the creation of Medard. A large, versatile family of accent lights and a lot of flexibility, Medard opens into a multitude of elegant applications.

Inspired by nature
It’s the stick insect that inspired the Dutch design agency Bleijh for the creation of Medard. Highly flexible thanks to its orientable head, Medard can sit still as a standalone on a desk, or on a ceiling.
Medard miniature
In its miniature form, Medard 42 is the minimalistic member of the family, gracing walls or ceilings as a stand-alone, or sliding playfully as a smaller spot for our Pista Track 48V and our Modupoint system.
Bigger size, more presence
Medard 70 is a solid eye-catcher as a track spot for our 230V tracks. And of equal diameter, Medard ceiling beautifies spaces as a surface-mounted and recessed luminaire.
More lights, more spaces
Medard opens itself up to welcome more light. Medard Stretched comes in two adjustable tube lenghts: 300 mm and 500 mm and can support up to two light units. What’s the opposite of streched? Medard’s distinctive and charming rounded edge is all you see with Medard Recessed (⌀42 and ⌀70). The matte black inner ring, the same in all variants, combats glare and promotes a homogenous look.
