We’re looking for a French speaking Lighting Designer (Temporary Contract) to join Modular Lighting Instruments in Stockholm, Sweden.

Your role

In the role as Lighting Designer, you will work with the most beautiful showroom in Sweden as a base. Our office is a source of inspiration for architects and designers, due to its beauty but also due to our people, and you will be one of them. Your clients are mainly interior architects and designers, but also our sales teams are your point of contact in many projects. You will be the dedicated lighting designer for all projects in the Nordic and CEE markets but also support our lighting design team in headquarters with global projects.

 

What you’ll do

In the role as Lighting Designer in Stockholm your main responsibility is to design projects for architects and Key Account Managers, but also involve other parts of the sales process. Therefore, you need to contribute with a strong drive enthusiasm and you will:

 

  • Create moodboards and inspirational material for architects.
  • You will mainly work on projects from Nordics and CEE, but also international projects for all global markets.
  • Create detailed lighting plans in CAD.
  • Lighting calculations in DIALUX.
  • Projects meetings and demonstrations in showroom. You will meet architects, end users and other stakeholders in the projects.
  • Participate in relationship strengthening activities such as events, lunches and similar.
  • Keep yourself up to date on latest standards and trends within lighting but also interior architecture in general.
  • Create the detailed quotation, following the light plan you create.

What you’ll need

Modular is function, form and materiality and we are seen as a creative partner in the projects. Therefore you need to:

  • Have a strong drive to deliver on time, inspiring and functional solutions for high end projects.
  • Have an interest not only in lighting itself, but also in interior architecture.
  • Enjoy face to face meetings with architects, installers and end users to explain and show your proposed solutions.
  • Have a structured mindset and good communication skills, despite a reality where flexibility is required.
  • Technical knowledge.
  • Have fluently Swedish and English skills.
